The Diamond S Ranch...

The Diamond S Ranch was named from the brand that was created by Charles Elias Story, who is Chuck's dad. The brand is still in force, but because we have no cows (or any other animals) it isn't used. Maybe we should just brand our kids! (Just kidding.)
The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together.

A Hero Story

As if he isn't a hero already!! Today we had a power pole hit(hit and run). That was at 6:30 in the morning. The officer (Justin Kelly) called the power company and serveyed the scene of the accident. The power truck arrived and the single man waited in his truck for help, and guarding the site. The morning progressed and the power surges hit at our homes till they got bad enough to start a fire under the line. Of course the grass is very dry and spread. The smoke was bellowing. No power help to shut of the power. The time is now 11:00 am. 911 was called.
Brad (our hero) hooked up his generator and the pump in the ditch and with all the hose Debbie could bring headed across the street to fight the fire. The other power pole was now flaming. A dangerous sight. 12:15 still no fire trucks or power people. Marva's house was really in danger. Finally at 12:30 they came. By this time Our Hero had the fire on the pole out and was headed up the hill to stop the rest. ...............Here's to BRAD Our Hero!!!!!
